MASDFAB ETH: This project investigates the use of robotic arms and sand to create reusable and adaptable formwork for producing facade panels with intricate patterns. By employing a robotic arm to sculpt precise geometries in sand, the project leverages the material's flexibility and reusability. A layer of water-soluble latex is applied between the sand formwork and the concrete, allowing for easy removal once the concrete has cured. This innovative approach enables the creation of unique and complex facade designs while maintaining a sustainable and adaptable fabrication process.
